NORTH GOA BEACHES

ANJUNA

Anjuna beach is very famous for its nightlife and it's trance parties. Anjuna is known as the Freak Capital of the World and in the sixties it was very popular with the flower generation, whereas now it attracts young people.
If you want to experience a real goa-trance-party, there is no better place than anjuna. Usually it is best to go on Thursdays. If you get there in the evening, just eat at one of the restaurants first and then walk down the beach even if its all quiet, because theres always something happening at Anjuna. Usually, there are many simultaneous parties each night to keep things rocking.
Also, there is a market in Anuna where you can get souvenirs etc.

BAGA

Baga beach is one of the most popular beaches in India, and therefore it is really packed and crowded. Baga beach is not a good place for swimming etc, but it has really nice beach bars and you can buy souvenirs for little money there.

CALANGUTE

Calangute is located 15 km from Panjim and it is called the "Queen of Beaches" because of its beauty that you can find nowhere else. It is a place to relax and enjoy the sun. Unlike at Anjuna or Baga, the nightlife is very tame and the bars close at 10 pm.
